1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using BeepBop ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

BeepBop is a workout timer application that provides interval timers, EMOM timers, counter workouts, workout presets, and fitness tracking features. The App is offered in three tiers:

  • Free — full access to core timer and workout features, supported by in-app advertising.
  • Pro user — a one-time in-app purchase that removes advertising and unlocks the Apple Watch app, daily health data integration, and consistency tracking.
  • Premium user — a monthly subscription that includes everything in Pro user plus AI-generated workouts personalized to your goals and history.

3. Accounts

The Free tier and the Pro user one-time purchase do not require a BeepBop account. The Pro user purchase is tied to your Apple App Store or Google Play account.

The Premium user tier requires you to create and sign in to an account using email, Apple, or Google. An account is required because AI workout generation is processed on Google Cloud and we use Firebase to verify your active subscription and enforce a fair-use monthly limit on AI generations.

You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure. You must be at least 13 years old to create an account.

4. Use of the App

You may use BeepBop for personal, non-commercial purposes. You agree not to:

  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
  • Modify, adapt, or create derivative works based on the App
  • Distribute, license, or sell the App or any part of it
  • Attempt to circumvent subscription restrictions or the AI usage limit
  • Use the AI feature to generate content that is unlawful, abusive, or intended to harm others
  • Use the App for any unlawful purpose

5. Health & Fitness Disclaimer

BeepBop is not a medical device. The App provides workout timers, general fitness information, and AI-generated workout suggestions. It is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any medical condition. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional before starting any exercise program.

You use the App and perform any exercises at your own risk. BeepBop and its developers are not responsible for any injuries, health issues, or damages that may result from using the App or following any workout program, whether built-in or AI-generated.

6. AI-Generated Workouts (Premium user tier)

The Premium user tier uses Google Gemini to generate personalized workouts based on the input you provide. You acknowledge that:

  • AI-generated content may contain inaccuracies, outdated information, or exercises that are not appropriate for your fitness level or medical situation.
  • You are solely responsible for deciding whether to perform a generated workout and for adapting it to your own abilities and limitations.
  • AI generations are subject to a fair-use monthly limit (currently 50 per account per month). The limit resets on the first day of each month.
  • We may adjust, throttle, or temporarily disable AI generation for service stability, cost, or safety reasons.

7. Purchases & Subscriptions

All in-app purchases are processed through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. We do not process payments directly.

  • Pro user (one-time) — a single payment that unlocks Pro user features permanently on your Apple or Google account.
  • Premium user (subscription) — automatically renews each month through the store until cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. You can manage or cancel the subscription in your device's app store settings.
  • Refunds — handled by Apple or Google in accordance with their refund policies.
  • Price changes — we may change prices with reasonable notice. Existing subscribers will be notified before any price increase takes effect.

8. Intellectual Property

All content, design, code, graphics, and other materials in BeepBop are the property of BeepBop and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. The built-in workout programs, timer configurations, and exercise descriptions are original content.

9. User Content

Any custom workouts, presets, or configurations you create in the App remain yours. Custom content is stored locally on your device. When you use the AI feature, the input you submit is sent to our Cloud Function and to Google Gemini solely to generate the requested workout.

10. Availability & Updates

We strive to keep BeepBop available and up-to-date but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may update, modify, or discontinue features at any time, including AI features that depend on third-party providers. We will make reasonable efforts to notify users of significant changes.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, BeepBop and its developers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App, including any injury or harm arising from workouts or AI-generated suggestions. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you have paid for the App in the 12 months preceding the claim.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. Material changes will be communicated through the App or this page.

13. Governing Law

These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Sweden and the European Union, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
